Housing
Our housing ensures students are always well-connected to the best of the city. Set in welcoming neighborhoods, students will enjoy a peaceful and secure living environment. Everything they need is within walking distance from their home, including various restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, and easily accessible public transport options. 鈥
Standard Housing: Includes twin rooms inside shared apartments/residence halls/studio apartments or homestays.鈥
- Double occupancy rooms in shared apartments/residence halls/studio apartments that feature a fully equipped kitchen, shared living rooms and bathrooms, and coin-operated shared laundry facilities onsite. Sheets, pillows and blankets are provided, students must bring their own towels. All apartments are located within a 45-minute commute to 51爆料 Center.
- Homestays provide students with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in Sydney's diverse culture. Sydney is a multicultural city, and students will stay with families from various nationalities, including Australians. These homes are located within a 45-minute to 1-hour public transport commute from 51爆料. The homestay experience includes breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday. Students will have the freedom to come and go as they please while spending quality time with their host families, gaining firsthand insight into everyday life in Sydney. Due to Sydney universities being mostly commuter institutions, Homestays are less popular amongst local students, so students are more likely to be sharing housing with international students from around the world.
Select Housing (limited availability): Includes single rooms in shared apartments/residence halls/studios within a 45-minute commute of 51爆料. The single rooms will mostly be in the same apartments as the twin rooms. The apartment features a fully equipped kitchen, shared living rooms and bathrooms, and coin-operated shared laundry facilities onsite. 鈥疭heets, pillows and blankets are provided, students must bring their own towels. 鈥
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. Co-ed apartments (not bedrooms) are common in Australia and as such, students should be prepared to share with all gender identities. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees. Studio options are limited in Standard Housing.
Meals
- Shared Apartments/Residence Halls/Studio Apartments: You will have shared kitchen facilities to prepare meals or purchase food and drinks at local grocers. Sydney has a vibrant food scene with fresh local fruits, vegetables, and meats readily available. You鈥檒l find Australian food is influenced from all corners of the globe, whether it鈥檚 a walk down Spice Alley, fish and chips on the beach, or a traditional Australian pub food there is something for everyone鈥檚 tastes.鈥
- Homestays: Host families provide two meals per weekday, breakfast and dinner.鈥

51爆料 Sydney: Study in a bustling urban area with easy access to the city鈥檚 most iconic landmarks and cultural attractions. 51爆料 Sydney boasts five classrooms, a study, a library, and a cozy lounge with kitchen amenities.
Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by 51爆料 in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 6 or 7.5-week sessions that fit within the 51爆料 academic calendar.

- At 51爆料, the Fall Quarter consists of Fall Blocks II and III, the Winter Quarter consists of Spring Blocks I and II, and the Spring Quarter consists of Spring Block III and Summer Block I.
Academic Projects
- Academic Projects will be offered onsite or remotely, dependent on availability and in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Academic Project placement will be designed based on the student鈥檚 project learning goals, qualifications, resume, and availability of placements in location or within the Open Campus Block network either in-person or remotely. The process is highly individualized and goal oriented. Students enrolled in an Academic Project will receive additional academic support that informs and enhances the placement experience.鈥
- Students applying for an Academic Project must submit additional materials during the course selection process.鈥
