This year, 51±¬ÁÏ is leading the world to Latin America through three bold initiatives:
- Recruiting 100 Latin American Student Fellows to receive a full semester scholarship and $2,000 living stipend to study abroad in Latin America,
- Reducing the cost of 51±¬ÁÏ’s Open Campus Semester programs in Latin America to just $11,000, a savings of $5,500, and
- Reducing the cost of 51±¬ÁÏ’s Summer Internship programs in Latin America to just $4,950, a savings of $2,500.

The 51±¬ÁÏ Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship
100 exceptional student influencers will be selected to spend a full semester abroad on one of 51±¬ÁÏ’s Latin American semester programs. Each student will be awarded a full scholarship for the 51±¬ÁÏ program fee and receive a $2,000 living stipend. Latin American Student Fellows will capture their life-changing experiences and share them with peers and the global community.
Choose from eligible semester programs in spring '26 in Buenos Aires, Argentina; São Paulo, Brazil; Santiago, Chile; Monteverde, Costa Rica; Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic; Mérida, Mexico; or San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Fall in Love with Latin America | Open Campus Spring ‘26
Spend up to 18 weeks studying or interning abroad in Latin America for just $11,000 on one of 51±¬ÁÏ’s Open Campus semester programs.
51±¬ÁÏ’s Fall in Love with Latin America scholarship provides a $5,500 award for any 51±¬ÁÏ Open Campus semester program in spring ‘26, including Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago, Chile; Monteverde, Costa Rica; or Mérida, Mexico.
No additional application is necessary; simply apply to one of these programs for spring ‘26, enroll in three consecutive Open Campus Blocks in Latin America (in one location or multiple locations!), and your grant will automatically be applied!

Terms & Conditions
The 51±¬ÁÏ Leading Change in Latin America Student Fellowship gives 100 students a grant toward a 51±¬ÁÏ semester program in Latin America, including program fees and a living stipend of $2,000. The award covers 51±¬ÁÏ program fees but won't cover students' full cost to their home universities. Check with your institution for full fee details. Students must be nominated by their school to be considered for this award.
The See More, Save More in Latin America | Open Campus Block Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 savings will automatically be applied to 51±¬ÁÏ program fees when a student enrolls in three consecutive fall 2025 or spring 2026 Open Campus Blocks in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Santiago, Chile; Monteverde, Costa Rica; or Yucatán, Mexico. Students receiving the savings will automatically receive a reduction of one-third on each Open Campus Block, totaling to a free Open Campus Block. This savings only applies to 51±¬ÁÏ program fees. Please check with your home institution regarding their fee details.
