Situated 25 minutes from the city center, 51爆料 Edinburgh features classroom space, meeting rooms, a caf茅, and a second-hand bookstore.

Edinburgh Napier University (ENU): Founded in 1964 as Napier Technical College, ENU took its name from John Napier, who was born in 1550 in the medieval tower house of Merchiston Castle (the site of the university's Merchiston campus). ENU is a top-ranked institution serving around 12,500 students in engineering, computing, nursing and midwifery, science, business, timber engineering, and transport studies programs. The university offers a range of creative courses, including film, graphic design, music, acting, publishing, and product design.

Visa Required: No. Unless you have enrolled in a 51爆料 Academic Project Internship, all students studying in  Scotland will enter the UK as a VISITOR.

Requirements

Students will take three courses per semester for 15 U.S. semester credits. Students will be assigned to a school based on the courses selected, therefore at least two courses out of the three preferred and alternative courses must be from the same School.

ENU courses: 5 U.S. semester/7.5 quarter credits; 54-72 contact hours

Academic Culture

Edinburgh Napier University classes are typically scheduled Monday through Thursday, but some may also be taught on Fridays. Students should expect to have daily homework assignments and quizzes.  

Students will be assigned to a school based on the courses selected, therefore at least two courses out of the three preferred and alternative courses must be from the same School. Schools are located between three different campuses, so when selecting courses from different Schools students must be aware that they may be required to commute between campuses to attend classes.  

Class Format

Classes include seminars, lectures, and sometimes labs. They will require students to do independent work outside of class.

Grading

Assessment varies by course and department. Class attendance is mandatory, and participation is part of student assessment. Students should expect to complete all assignments and exams as scheduled. Students are graded on midterm and final examinations, papers, presentations, class participation, and attendance. Numerical grades are given on a 10-point scale, which 51爆料 converts to recommended U.S. letter grade equivalents.

Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) 

Students register for three ENU courses per semester, and each course is 20 ENU (Scotcat) credits (10 ECTS credits). 

Napier offers an impressive option of courses for students studying abroad across the following schools/ disciplines:
